US trip 2010 special: of frozen foods and fresh produce

About the food:

America isn't all about eat all you cans. Its also the place where you'll see a large section of the supermarket devoted to frozen goods, just like this marinated steak.

After defrosting and reheating in the oven (medium well done), this steak is truly bliss. Unlike the steaks here in the Philippines, steaks in the States are sooo soft and tender. You don't even need a knife to slice them.

On the healthier side, they also have high quality fruits and vegetables available and accessible, just like the asparagus and corn, below.

I must say that their corn is really something. It's perfect. It doesn't have any missing kernels, takes only a few minutes to cook, and tastes very sweet and almost melts in your mouth.

As for their other vegetables, like the peppers in the picture, there are a lot more varieties and colors available.
