Dezato Mochi Ice Cream

About the food:

Yesterday, I came to visit the nearest Crumpler store to buy a more spacious camera bag because they currently have a major sale (50%-70% on ALL items on stock). After rushing in and out of the store, I went towards the Parvati store for a dessert treat.

There, I found and purchasesd a Dezato Mochi Ice Cream assorted pack of six.

I like Mochi Ice cream instead just ice cream because with mochi, the serving is already fixed, hence you can control (ideally) the quantity of ice cream you are consuming with every bite.

I asked the saleslady what type of ice cream was being used by Dezato for its mochi and she replied that they were home made. So I went on ahead with buying.

I tried the green tea mochi above and it was okay. The ice cream was neither sweet nor intensely flavored.

I also tried the strawberry and it's good enough.


Where to buy:

Dezato Mochi is available for PHP295 (six pieces) at the Parvati store at the ground floor of Trinoma Mall. It's near the area of Fully Booked and UCC Coffee.

The ice cream in this mochi could have more flavor and so I think it would be better to use real fruits together with ice cream or gelato for this one.

Flaming Cheese at Cyma

About the food:

I've always wondered what was unique about Cyma. One day I decided to give it a try and witness it first hand. The answer came up: flaming cheese!

If you simply adore cheese then I recommend this one. Its probably even better if you order it during night time, so you can see the flame more.

The flaming cheese is served with fresh garlic bread.

Aside from the flaming cheese, they also have a lot more greek cuisine to offer. They have salads, and the famous gyros, among others. 

Where to buy and how much:

I tried the Cyma branch in Trinoma Mall, at the topmost level. Cyma is along the row of restaurants like Holy Cow! (known for steaks) and SumoSam (japanese-western fusion).

I consider Greek cuisine to be healthy in general.

Five Cows Ice Cream Cake

About the food:

Are you craving for both ice cream and cake? If yes, then you should try the blueberry cheesecake ice cream above. It's quite a large slice and you can share it, but I doubt you'll order just one.




Where to buy and how much:


This ice cream cake is available for PHP160 per slice at Five Cows Resto and Ice Cream Bar. It's located at the topmost floor of Trinoma mall in Quezon City. Five Cows is located near Yakimix and AstroVision. Aside from blueberry cheesecake ice cream, they have other flavors and types of desserts, such as sundaes and floats. They also serve pasta and rice meals.

Rating:  8.0/10


This ice cream cake didn't taste very sweet but more milky and creamy. It is not sugar-free though.
